what do we get from this?

Answer:

The knowledge of helping someone else in need. Karma for when one day you might need blood or your family or a friend may need blood.

You also get free T-shirts, mugs, cookies, pens, etc.

There's also studies that have shown that it helps cleanse your system of toxins (sure it gives it to the patient but they need blood so I doubt they'll argue). I read it in some health magazine but forgot which one.

Don't be so selfish. Someone needs something you have that you can live without but they can't! It takes 15 minutes.

A sense of gratification from helping others. There are some health benefits to the donor as well (postive effects on blood pressure and such).

we vshould donate blood to help other people with problems regarding their blood.. after we donate our body is making new blood for us... It is like your a new one again..
