In the past week I have purchased contact lenses. I decided to give my eyes a rest and wear my glasses. I noticed that my vision is worse, I have worse blurred vision.

I use to only wear my glasses to drive or to see more than 100 feet in front of me. Now faces are blurred only 10 feet away from me.

What is going on? Why is my vision worse now that I have worn contacts for 2 weeks?

Answer:

Your cotantcs have probably damaged your eyes, it can happen very easily. Contacts can be bad foryor eyes and yours is probably a case where contacts caused some damage. It could be anywhere from mild to pretty bad but you should get checked by your eye doctor. SOmetimes different things happen as a result, sometimes your eyes begin to give off a a film as a result of contacts that can cause blurring, sometimes you eyes develop other problems. Best bet is to go get checked out.

your vision is not worse. i thought so to when i got my contacts. the thing is, when you wear your glasses now, you are not used to the imperfections of glasses, such as scratches, smudges, and other things. Contacts give you clearer vision because they are not in contact with your hands, dust and other things. Plus, contacts are cleaner. You are used to your contacts now. Other things will seem blurry when you are not wearing them. This is what my doc told me when i asked the same questions.

Some issues might have happened.You might have not controlled your eyes status for long when wearing glasses and you were used to that.Now that you have bought a contact lense,it probabley is the right number for your already situation.Then wearing contact lense for two weeks,made you get used to the better vision by lense and after wearing back the glasses you notice the difference and think that your vision had gotten worse in two weeks,that cant be happen.Anyway,you would better check it with your doctor.
