Answer:
I breathe more deeply when I sleep and so does everyone I know so disregard that response.
The answer is that your breathing is already regulated during sleep. Your breathing is nice and rhythmic. You yawn when you change from shorter breaths(awake) to longer ones(asleep) and vice versa.
Yawning out of bordem is your body nudging you to sleep.
Good Luck.
Its possible we do just not awake to know it
your need for oxygen drops when you're asleep, so no need for large intakes.
how do you know you don't!!???
my teacher says, the respiratory system is must work normally, so it is why theirs such yawn so oxygen gets in.
your relaxed and taking in enough oxygen you need to sleep.
How do you know we dont ???=)
I yawn when I'm bored as well, I don't need more air when I'm bored..... It's just a way to relax
How do you know you dont your sleeping.
I think that you do...because baby's yawn when they are asleep, so I think that everyone must do it
because you are sleeping
Good question. My theory: You yawn when you are tired. When you are sleeping you are in a state of deep relaxation. Also ,when you are asleep, you won't see others yawn, and will therefore be less likely to yawn yourself.
PS. I have actually seen adults yawn in their sleep.
Thats funny
because i watched my brother sleep once, and he yawns evertime he sleeps.
in middle of night or early morning around 3am he is yawning.
i checked if he was wake, but he wasnt.
I think the question should be why dont you "sneeze" while your asleep?
