Why do people consider it perfectly normal to have an arsenal of prescription drugs

Did they ever stop to think that perhaps the drugs are keeping them sick? Yeah, one side effect or another, they'll make it "ok". Some of you may think I'm talking out of my a--. Think what you want, cause I don't even get colds or flu anymore.

Answer:

Unfortunately, many people believe as you do, that people who are unhealthy have done something to cause their illness. But I implore you to remember that children get sick, too. My daughter was diagnosed with type I diabetes when she was 22 months old. She was later diagnosed with celiac disease, epilepsy, and a form of scleroderma. She now experiences congestive heart failure at the age of 26. She takes an enormous number of prescription medications, several of which keep her alive.

All of her conditions were caused by her faulty immune system (they are "autoimmune" disorders). I can assure you that she did nothing to cause her fate. The genetic make-up of some individual provokes many conditions.

I hope you'll reexamine your very narrow point of view. Yes, it is important we guard our health with daily exercise and proper nutrition, but not everyone is blessed with a fabulous genetic makeup. Please do more research on a subject before you make blanket statements.

Some people REQUIRE prescription drugs, and they ARE perfectly normal under the guidance of a licensed medical professional. My current medications: Oxycontin, Vicodin, Percocet, Clonazepam, Adderall, Valium, and Zoloft. They are used to treat only 3 problems : Insomnia / ADHD / and chronic back pain (which causes my insomnia). Please think before you ask questions.
