Why exactly does this occur? It's always perplexed me.
Answer:Actually, this is because the oil on your skin known as sebum washes away, and your skin absorbs water. Sebum is a waterproof oil that makes water bead off our skin, but if you are in water for a long time the sebum is washed off. Your skin absorbs a little water and swells in some areas, especially the fingers and toes, making you appear wrinkly!
Because you have down syndrome
Your fingers are actually getting bigger. There absorbing water. But not evenly thats why they turn wrinkley.
Iv'e always wondered that too! I'm guessing because your skin soaks up alot of water!
your skin soaked up water and caused the skin on your fingers to wrinkle do to the excess water
you are slowly turning into a prune....
