My eyes are a dark green/light brown colour. During the normal day they would be alot more brown than usual.

But only after im crying i look and see my eyes are very green, alot more than normal.

I know my eyes cant change colour about from when you are a small baby/toddler and features get darker.

But i was wondering does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Or has it ever happened with anyone else?

Answer:

When they are wetter, they look lighter because of the way water reflects light. The color of the eyes isn't like paint, the color part is covered with transparent lens. Also the white gets kind of red and that changes the contrast. You might wet something and see how the light changes the color.

Mine are blue and I don't cry, but I do have allergies big time and the light and wetness make a difference, but just lighter or darker.

when you cry your eyes get red, this makes the color stand out more. mine get very light brown when i cry, i normally have dark brown eyes.

well I have a friend at school and the same thing happens to her except her eyes turn a more grey colour and i think its just how you are and its just natural for you

it could be a change in light, are you sure your eyes arent a very dark green? thats the only thing i can imagine. my eyes turn green in the summer, brown in the winter. your eyes do change color when you are a baby, most white (for lack of a better word) infants are born with gray/blue eyes. then later change to match their parents eyes.

Not really answering your question, but my grandpa's eyes

turned from brown to blue after his heart attack.
