I dont know, but I understand! I have been diabetic for 17 years and have given myself shots for 17 years, but I always look away when someone else draws my blood..
it is very common...this is called squemish....or fear-of-blood...almost 80% of the earth has this...
Join the club it freaks me out to
"The blood is the life, Mr. Renfield."
i think you may be a vampire thats afraid to come out of the closet, or should i say coffin? muwahhahahaha (evil sounding)... you can trust us.. id love to know a vampire-ess?!
that is phobia. you might have a previous horrible experience pertaining to blood. consult with yout psychiatrist
i don't know why some do and some don't. i could care less, i'm having blood taken every week at the moment for 10 weeks and i always watch because i find it interesting. As a young child i used to have blood taken too, and my mother would always faint when I had MY blood taken! She got the biscuit and the cup of tea and all the fuss and I'm the one who'd been vampired!
Me too, until I had kids. When your own child falls down and bites their lip and you're the only person around to help them, you learn very quickly to deal with blood. Now scraped knees or any other bit of blood doesn't freak me out at all.
Just like the other lady said, I turn my head when they draw my blood, too!
