I don't think Answers would attract the sort of knowledgeable people for you to get a definitive answer.
forget the drugs, just drink.
wont make you better but you can forget about it for a couple of hours :P
There are some forms of antibiotic that don't combine at all well with alcohol. Drinking whilst taking them can render the person unconscious however if that is the case the Doctor and the pharmacist will probably tell you that. Rather than trusting in urban myths though, before you take any medication, read the information provided with it, then you will know what is safe and what isn't.
You can drink alcohol with some, but you should always check with your doctor - and don't just take the no answer (though sensible) unless they assure you it will cause harm.
Because the alcohol kills the antibiotic and stops them working, so even if you carry on taking them with alcohol, they won't work.
It cancels out the effects of the antibiotic .
The simple reason is, it heightens the chance that you may vomit and thus resulting in a missed dose which is vital in the course of any antibiotic treatment
