I've started taking multi-vitamins and an iron supplement thinking it would help but I just stay cold all the time. I can have the heat up to 75 degrees and still be cold in layers of clothing. What's wrong with me? I've always had a lower body temperature than average (aprox 96 to 97, the average is 98.6 I believe) does that have something to do with it?

Have your self tested for a condition called Raynalds. I have it, I'm always cold. It has to do with bad circulation. It can be really warm out and if a breeze blows I get chilled really fast.

If you have it there really isn't much you can do about it except keep your self warm. Go to your doctor and tell him what is going on with you. Ask him to test you for Raynalds.

Do your fingers or toes ever change colors. Some times my toes look like red/white and then blue, that is how it will effect you. But you do need to know for your own sake.

I have a problem staying warm sometimes if there's no fuel in my stomach and or I'm too inactive. We can feel cold when blood is taken from our extremities to heat the core, so warming the core with exercise will allow more blood to go to and warm the limbs.

Another thing I've discovered is that sometimes our feet can perspire more than other times and that can make your feet feel cold, so try to keep a dry pair of socks handy or wear shoes that don't make your feet perspire too much.

If exercise and dry socks don't work then you should check with a good family doctor.
