im 18. lately(in the last few months) ive noticed that my vision has been decreased. There are a few spot floating around, i have trouble seeing far off signs, and theres the black field in the center of my vision when I put light pressure on my eye. I can still I can still see in this black field. It only appears when i put pressure on my eye though. What is the problem? im going to go to the eye doctor soon, but in the meantime what do you think could be wrong? is it serious?

Answer:

The small floating spots you see are normal. I have the same thing, but having a black field in your vision is not. Be sure to get to your doctor sooner than you've indicated. 'Soon' is not soon enough.

have you been getting enough rest lately??staying up too late tryin to answer qns??the spots you see is a sign of tiredness and lack of proper rest to your eyes. dont stare at the omp monitor for long period of times..rest ur eyes more...try putting wet tissue on ur closed eye and relax..that will freshen up ur eyes..and the black spot that appears when u press ur eye....thats the refraction of the light that goes into ur eyes i suppose...tht happens to everybody...

It is called a blind spot. In every human eye, there is a blind spot, retina, cornea and many more. A blind spot means that when the eye sees something, it will not be able to send nerve impulses to the brain. It does not mean that you are blind. It is nothing to worry about.
