What works well besides steam, to get rid of a stuffy nose
My nose has been stuffed for 2 days, and I can't taste or smell anything, and I just took a shower 2 hours ago and I could smell and taste for about 20 minutes from the steam. I also was smelling BioFreeze to clear my nose, it didn't work. What else works well to get rid of a stuffy nose?
Answer:A few things you can do
1) Put a little tabasco in your soup.
2) take vicks vapor rub and put a little bit on your upper lip
3) Sleep with your upper back and head propped up a bit.
4) Get some strong, mentholated lozenges and suck on them with along with a better tasting ones, since the mentholated ones sometimes can be a little too strong and bitter to keep in your mouth.
5) Also, Tylenol cold and cough syrup can take the edge off a bit.
6) Drinking a lot of juice, water and tea will flush your system and reduce the time you are sick.
small dab of vicks
Sudafed Shower Soothers. Also Vicks nose spray.
Saline nasal spray..
Try sniffing something very spicy. Tabasco, hot sauce, mustard, etc...that will really clear up your sinuses, but it might make your nose run.
suggestion try a humidifier and vap-o-steam
