What to buy for my graduating graduate daughter
Brian, you don't tell us what she is graduating from? Nowadays they celebrate kindergarten graduation, middle school, high school, college, or getting her Doctorate!
In any case, having 2 older daughters of my own that graduated college, I have always given them sentimental gifts so they can remember the moment and who it was from---so that means jewelry. Depending on how poor you are after paying for the education, you can pick something out that suits your budget and their taste-- some like white gold, some like silver, some like yellow gold. No matter what age and what school they are graduating from, there is a piece of jewelry that they will love and cherish--- go to a local jeweler and tell them her age and the occasion, they will help you. I picked diamond solitaire necklaces and then diamond stud earrings....with those pieces the SIZE can determine the price and that again, will be up to your budget. Some people will say a new car but they get old and traded in; jewelry can be passed down to their daughters, so it becomes a family heirloom. Congratulations to you and your daughter
Hm...that's a hard one. You know you daughter better than we would. But perhaps if she is moving out and getting a place of her own, some houseware items? Maybe a suit for a new job? A briefcase?
I made my son and daughter a large scrapbook for their high school graduations, from pictures they drew as toddlers, photos through the years, high school essays, certificates for winning contests, and also wrote to all their friends and ours and asked them if they would contribute one page to the memories/highlights scrap book They turned out so cool. You should try that.
