Paxil withdrawlwhen does the end
I went cold turkey 4-5 days ago. Anything I can do to make my head stop "zapping" and everything is going straight though me. Besides all the other crap (I am pissed off all the time) these are bothering me the worst- I just want it to be over with...any advice or just other paxil horror story's would be great, it helps to know there are other people out there.
Answer:Oh I've been there!!!
TRUST ME I HAVE!
I was put on Paxil about 6 years ago for depression. I gained 40lbs within a year of starting it!
Even though they say never go off it cold turkey, I didn't listen. Now I'll tell you that you shouldn't... blah blah, but personally I did the cold turkey method and it worked for me.
I experianced extreame head shocks, headaches, basically it was like I was a herion addict trying to come clean.
IT DOES PASS! TRUST ME!!!!
I would of sold my soul to the devil for some paxil (I flushed it all to prevent me from taking any) but within 8 days things were ALOT better 80% better and within 2 weeks I was back to "normal"
Getting off paxil was one of the hardest things I've ever done, I admire anyone who can go off it cold turkey like myself. I was on 60MG a day (Pretty high dose) so if I can do it, you can!! STAY STRONG!

You shouldn't be quiting cold turkey - this could result in suicidal tendencies. You should ween yourself off by cutting back (like 1/2 pill instead of a whole, and then 1/2 a pill every other day, etc) ASK YOUR DOCTOR and be careful!
I didn't do it cold turkey but I went off gradual at first and then cold turkey after about a week. I had the brain shivers and confusion like you have. It took about 2 months 6-8 wks to get out of my system but by that time, my ex husband had kicked me out of the house for going haywire on him.
