I think maybe he feels embarrasment and shame for these people and in a way feels sorry for them. That means your friend has a good heart. Pedohiles definitly deserve full punishment for thier behavior, I am not at all defending them, and I dont think your friend is either. I just think it's sad to see these people who go to such low lengths in life.

NO. These people are dangerous. What your friend feels is a sort of empathy for someone who is trapped with a shameful secret that has been exposed to the entire world via national television. But this should not be confused with sympathy. Pedophiles destroy lives, and oft times create new predators.

I think they get exactly what they deserve. Public humiliation is the first and then they get arrested and have to deal with the fallout on the home front so to speak. This seems to be an effective program so I think it's great. Some of these men even say I know that show, they are often suspicious but they are driven to do it even though they know that they could be caught. These men need to be caught so they can either get professional help or incarcerated. I feel bad for the victims of these pedophiles.

Heck no!! I give Dateline a BIG HIGH 5. I personally get a laugh when they get busted and give some 1/2 * * * excuse to explain why they went where they did, and there intentions. GOOD job NBC!!
