Ive been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder but i worry that i might have antisocial
Avoid "counselling", they do more harm than good. All it will do is make you dependant on them.
I really feel for you on this because I have been there and if I can prevent you making the same mistakes, then good.
I'm 50 and the happiest I have ever been and I found this strenght in myself. You have it also.
Remember, NO other human being has the right to say that your personality is wrong and they are right.
What you need is some success in life and happiness. My email address is available for you.
well to me u sound quite in control
Step one: stop trying to diagnose yourself. It'll just make you crazy. Step two: Most of the symptoms you describe still sound like BPD; the rage, the loss of control, the anxiety, the depression. It takes a lot of work, but it is treatable, most often with a therapy called DBT or Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. It basically retrains your brain to be aware of what you're doing so it's easier to stay in control. I know it sucks, I'm diagnosed bipolar II with borderline traits. It might also be a good idea to see a psychiatrist who can prescribe something to balance you out a little too.
Let the past be the past, when you wake up today try this. ' I will be happy no matter what'.I went through hell as a child and I had to let go so as to be able to enjoy my life. I look at life this way, what happened yesterday is gone, but what happens today is a choice am lucky to have, so I choose to be happy and make it my DUTY to do so. No matter how things go I still rise above all. If am in pain I take painkiller, if someone is nasty, I feel sorry for them, if I cant afford something, I accept that I don't need it. its simple. accept life as it is. Good luck
"feel like my lifes drifting nowhere at the age of 29". That's normal mate. Just about every male who's turning 30 feels that way. This is the worst year you'll ever have when it comes to worrying about the future.
You may be slightly bipolar. Read up on it, understand it, deal with it.
I went to the doctor once, complaining of bad headaches that had been going on for a long time. She said to me: "Get rid of what is causing them."
I think that advice applies to you.
Get rid of the causes for your tension & you'll be a much happier person.
Just identify what you don't like & work towards what you do like...
Good luck!
Oh! & believe in yourself. (Or you'll never suceed in anything).
