Most people will tell you, and rightly so, to get at the root of the problem. Well, this is very hard to do when you are suffering from sleep deprivation.
If this is an ongoing problem then you really need to speak to a doctor. Most medications are not something you need to use long term. Use something just to get you over this rough time.

Don't fight it. Tell your body that it is OK to stay up as long as it wants to. Lovingly give it permission to do what it has to do right now. Let me know how it works for you.

i know this feeling oh too well have now been awake 36 hours and like you counting unfortunatly it aint easy tried all the usual hot milky drinks soft music and letting the brain relax i know easier said than done after this have no suggestions but it is not through lack of trying
