maybe i'm an overdramatizing everything, but i l sorta like the way it feels and i think the highs make up for the lows

I was diagnosed bipolar over 20 yrs. ago. you wouldn't be "changing your bipolar," infact you cant do that. You would only be managing it. A person with bipolar can have mood swings so severe that they become so depressed they can't get out of bed, or become suicidal. would you not want to take a med that can help you manage mood swings that can keep that from happening?It's only about managing the disorder so that you can live with it.Which is all we can do.

I am bipolar if u get diagnosed u need to take ur meds reason being on the highs u do really stupid things ie spend loads of money,sleep around,drink a lot and loads more things people like the high but its not u. the other end the downer which can happen at any time is awfull u can just go and try to commit suicide with no warning so if u have it get treatment asap the highs dont last forever

You are so confused. Let me explain:

Mania starts out fun. Everything is vibrant and beautiful. You think fast and act fast. Ideas come rushing at you and colors are so bringht your eyes melt. You feel great.

Then colors are no longer bright, they because frightenly overpowering. Noises become loud and pierce the inside of your ears. People talk, but you don't know what they are saying. Words get jumbled. You get afraid. and suscipicious. Things get out of control. You lose control. You hear things that don't exist, you do things to get away from things that don't exist, the ideas are coming so quit and get all jumbled. then its just FEAR

Then you wind up being escorted to the jail or the hospital...

That's why I take my meds. Anyone who is Bipolar 1 and experienced true mania, knows what I mean.
