that doesnt affect the person all the time.
Answer:persons with schizophrenia are not constantly bombarded with the symptoms, such as hallucinations or delusions. They do have their quiet moments.
A close relative of mine had schizophrenia, where voices were heard. However, he did not hear the voices all of the time, and he had moments of striking clarity.
Schizophrenia has different sorts of symptoms for different people. People often don't have constant voicies or images all the time... it can come and go.... it is a serious disease that doesn't mean someone is crazy, but that they have an imbalance of chemicals in their brain. If you or someone you know may have this please get it checked out immediately so you can get meds and/or therapy and feel better! :)
Yes as there are so many varying degrees of schizophrenia, it is mostly controlled by a drug called respiridal. Episodes are often brought on by alcohol, drugs and stress. Hope this helps
I was diagnosed with schizophrenia ten years ago and have since done many things, completely un-medicated the entire time, that I don't believe were "schizophrenic" in nature. Two examples: 1. working 30 hours a week for 8 mos. 2. Receiving recognition from celebrities and dancing with people at parties. . .So for me this particular question has an easy answer: schizophrenia doesn't necessarily affect a person all the time. I would like to even go so far to say that a diagnosed schizophrenic doesn't have to be affected by "schizo-ness" ANY of the time.
