I do not know you or what type of problems you are dealing with, but going to counselling might help you and they might be able to give you something. Just keep thinking or everyone that loves you and hang on to that when you get really down.

Sure sounds like depression to me. Make a doctors appointment. Discuss all your symptoms with your doctor. Follow the doctors advice and seek counseling.

I am not an expert, however first one needs to find out why one is depressed. More than likely in most cases, it is due to some shock of an traumatic incident or excepting truth about their mortality hits specially during middle age 35-45 years. Questioning oneself: Why I am here on this earth? Where am I going? What is purpose of my life?

Realization of ones helplessness and hopelessness in life. Since finding no answers and direction, leads to depression.

The answer in my little research what I have found some Psychiatrists are saying it is due to people's Belief or not Belief or lack there of.

Belief in One God-Al-Mighty, Most Merciful and Beneficient, who created all that exists in this whole of Universe for humans and exist we all do for period of time than going back to Him. As everthing that exists for a purpose. Sent for a pupose. To pray and praise Him, to live in peace and harmony with His creation without corrupting Earth for evil gains. As we all accountability of our deeds. To do good for our Accountability to God-Al-Mighty and Salvation on the Day of Ressurrection and Judgement.
