Everybody gets depressed. When you have that feeling you need to make yourself happy think about things in your life that make you feel good.
Stress has allot to do will a depressed feeling, you have to look at a positive aspect of what is causing the stress like how good its going to feel when you have accomplished the task that's so stressful.
If you eat healthy and exercise that will help too.
If the depression gets too bad you should talk to a parent or your doctor there could be a chemical imbalance and the doc can treat you for that.
Now keep in mind that there is plenty of help out there for you if you can't shake the feeling.

From your description you have depression due to a chemical imbalance there is no way to fix this on your own. You need to start on a antidepressant. There are many out on the market. Your Doctor will help you decide. If you can't afford to see a physician you can visit your mental health center. They base your payment based on income.
