Well, when I'm manic, I'm impatient and I think every one else is an idiot, so I am very insulting. I do the eye rolling thing a lot, too. And then if someone interrupts me when I'm busy doing whatever I'm obsessed with at the moment, they catch hell. I apologize for what I remember, after, but I don't remember much, usually. If I get really mad, I'll kick them out (happened to my boyfriend who is now my husband) but a lot of those negative behaviors happen during mixed moods, which is a combination of depression and mania at the same time. And I almost always keep this stuff under a lid, but sometimes I can't help it, and have outbursts that are hurtful to others.

Yes. Somebody in the manic stage of manic depression has such inflated self esteem or inflated belief in the positivities of life that they do not need anybody to lean on. Its like an apparently normal person taking a strong stimulant; the effects are simular.

When I'm manic, I reject everyone and go into a cleaning fit and move furniture.

It would probably be normal for other bipolar people to have the same symptoms. When on meds the peopel are manic and depressive alot less, or the moods swings arn't as large.

Everyone, and every manic phase is different.

When I'm manic I get irritated easily if what I want is not given to me/done when I want it.

I haven't done this in YEARS (since getting married and having kids), but when I used to live with my parents I would get so frustrated and irritated with them that I'd disappear for days, if not weeks. I'd stay at a friend, but soon become bored of that friend and move on to the next.

So in short, yes when people are in their manic phase, they can reject the people that love them (and that they love too).
