If you have contemplated suicide, then you really need to seek help. Trust me, there is much to live for, you are only 14 and you have many years to come - happy ones too. You just need to figure out how to deal with what is making you sad and depressed. Please speak to someone, and try to get yourself in to counseling soon. Talk to a parent, a trusted adult, school counselor, call a help line. There are so many people out there that can help you, you just need to reach out to someone.
Good luck to you. And just remember that there is hope, and you are not alone.
It is not completly unheard of for people that young to become depressed, it happened to me. I would not go as far as to call it normal though. You need to discuss your feeling with an adult who can help you. What is your relationship with your family? Is there a teacher you can trust? Or a school couselor maybe? If all else fails a friends parent would work to.
its part of puberty leave that alone and dont starve yourself.

Hon, I strongly suggest going to see a therapist. I am not a licensed therapist, so I can not make a diagnosis. I don't know where you live but you could ask your doctor for a referral to a therapist that specializes in children and teenagers. Maybe where you live has a community mental health center you could try. Good luck.
I don't think its normal, though not necessarily uncommon. You should defintely think about talking to a councillor or a doctor. Your doctor should know about these feelings, and can likely recommend some things to help you. Lots of people go through the same thing, and need help to stop those feelings.
Oh dear, I've felt the same way from the 7th grade up until a high school freshman. But now that I'm a sophmore I've had more confidence and I've got tons of friends. Friends are all you need. Make as many as possible! Life's a b*tch; you must deal with it.
Alisson, I know actually what you are talking about. I grew up in a dysfunctional family and was depressed from a young age until I was diagnosed with chronic depression. You speak about you cyclical mood swings and I have had them too. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and have been on medication for a long time and I am doing well. This is not something I hide from people because it is genetic and all it amounts to is chemicals in your brain not working properly. Hence, the need for medicine. I am not stating that either of these diagnoses are what you have, but I firmly suggest you see a therapist or a psychiatrist. When I got my medications stable I didn't think about committing suicide, in fact, life is very precious and beautiful to me now. And I believe it will be for you again too. I wish you the best of luck.
If you want someone to talk to, e-mail me. I am almost 14. Sometimes I feel depressed as well.
