I'm doing an inform for speech and I'd like to know if this would be a good (valid) topic. I've done some research but there's an equal amount saying yes and no so please help! Thanks!!!
Answer:yes... medicated chapstikcs havce a material in them that makes your lips dry out when you don't have them forcing you to get more as opposed to regular chapstick which just moistens your lips
I don't really think its enoguh for a speech its not a terrible addiction if you switch to unmedicated chapstick you should be fine
the news here a few months ago did a segment on addiction to chapstick which caught my attention because my daughter is addicted to it and until that news segment i had never heard of it. i thought she was just wierd. as it turns out it is a real addiction.
I think it is, I had a friend that carried it with her EVERYWHERE(she kept it in her sock while playing soccer)! People rely on it quite a bit, and it is hard to let it go.
yes its VERY possible..i know people who are addicted to chapstick
i use chapsticks alot. when i go out without it my lips get really dry and the more i lick or wet them the worse they get. however, this problem usually only starts from the moment i realize i dont have it with me. So for example, if i was to go out and not realize i dont hav my chapstick with me, then i'm usually ok and dont need it. so sometimes i think its a placebo effect.
