I have worked with children with genuine ADHD and you can tell the difference to a child just being naughty. They are absolutley manic like they are 'in the zone' for want of a better phrase.

If you are in any doubt volunteer to work with kids with this disorder and you will not doubt that it is real.

I do agree that some parents just use it as an excuse!!

I always thought so as ADHD seems to be the easy way out for all tehse parents feeding their kids too much sugar which makes them hyper.

My Stepson was diagnosed as ADHD when he was about 5 and he is on medication for school to help him concentrate, but I made my wife stop feeding him high sugar breakfasts, and give him Diet drinks instead of full sugar coke, and he seems to be calmer when we get him back after school and at week-ends.

ADHD is a medical excuse conjured up by somebody in government to avoid admission they interfered in parental guidance for spanking their children as disciplinary action. Without such disciplinary guidance, the children are as you see them now.
