Does anyone have any info. on Coulrophobia (Fear of Clowns)
Answer:Clowns are creepy. A lot of adults who don't like them probably have the fear stemming from mistrust of clowns. I wasn't really afraid of them as a child, but I started to see them differently as I got older. The big ruffles and greasepaint just makes them look like they're hiding something, which I find disturbing. Not to mention, some career clowns are pedophiles who chose that job just to work with kids.
On the other hand, I think a lot of small kids who are afraid of clowns feel like that because the crazy, over the top costumes make them look like stereotypical "monsters" sometimes.

I don't know why, but I think it's because they are almost human, like us, but not really human that makes them scary to us.
