Does anyone know of anything (technique, food,...whatever) that can improve short-term memory or long-term memory or both. The best would be, in the shortest amount of time.

Well you can eat foods like fish, or even take flax seed oil. But the best thing to do is come up with a techniqe that works for you, like if you want to remember to meet up with someone picture yourself writting a note in your mind and posting that note up. or it sometimes helps to repeat sometihng you want to remember severl times in a row. If you dont want to do that then yes they do make memory and focusing pills that contain things like ginko in it wich may help.
Studentenfutter (student food) is used in Europe to enhance scholarly performance, including memory. All it is, is a combination of nuts and raisins, usually eaten while studying. Theoretically, simple snack foods along those lines should have the same effects.
One mnemonic device is to make an association or short story with that which you want to remember, making it as outrageous or ridiculous as possible. It is important to really, really want to remember it very much, and to visualise whatever it is, as vividly as possible. Do a course in memory improvement, and look for books on the subject in your library, online at Amazon.com and order through bookstores. Fish oil (4/day) & Ginkgo Biloba may be of benefit.
