Another idea is to drink a cup of milk or horlicks before bed as this relaxes you.

Don't go to bed hungry - very bad move. Eat a banana before you sleep - bananas help you sleep.

You can try a swig of neat whiskey - knocks me out.

Try sleeping on your back and not on your tummy

Don't stay in bed too long if you can't sleep - get up and walk around and then go back to bed.

But best of all - Try praying!!! Pray God will help you in your depression and that he'll help you sleep. And if you find prayer boring or don't usually pray then it could still work for you because when you are bored its easier to sleep! :)


All the above answers are good ideas, try listening to some music to help you relax, maybe a hot bath before bed. Try to take care of yourself physically, get exercise that will help your stress level. Religious? Listen to Joyce Meyers ideas on how to live a better, stress free life. yeah i was supposed to go to bed at 12 so i could run some errands tomorrow (well i was supposed to wake up in 2 hours :/) and then i got to thinking and thinking and then i got stir crazy and got on here.. and now it's 7
