Im so depressed
i have beed diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, this means i get severe episodes of depression and mania. lately ive been in my depressed state, i need help getting over this.
Answer:My mother suffers from this, and I believe I may well have a bit of it myself. (Mom is 76, and she was diagnosed over 20 years ago). Please take the medication that your doctor has prescribed. When Mom goes off of her meds, things get way out of control. If you have just recently been diagnosed, and you feel you aren't responding to the medication your doctor ordered, please talk with the doctor and tell him or her how you feel. Sometimes, it takes awhile to get the right medicine and dosage for you because everyone is different.
I hope you are not embarrassed by this. It is very, very commen. I implore you to stay in close contact with your doctors, friends, family, clergy, or anyone whom you trust, and you will be okay. Work with your doctor; not against him or her. Please take good care, and I wish you all the best.
My advice and many other YA's people, would recommend that you speak to your doctor and ask him/her to refer you to a psychiatric clinic for some help with your problem.
My best advice would be to pray to God. He can and will help you.
Call a christian friend and ask them to pray for you.
Go to church somewhere tonite.
Let me pray for you now.
