Im addicted to the computer, how to break it

health advisory Hospital Mental Health 2007-11-15 19:01:02

If u and ur friends can organize something outdoors u could keep urselves away from ur comps, i can vouch for the outdoor stuff coz i do that whenever possible.

Give yourself a limit. Go on in the morning and perhaps only at night for a certain amount of time, and keep it off when not in use. Also, have other interests and hobbies. Remember the internet is not real life. Not by a longshot.
find a hobby (besides the computer) and preoccupy urself with ur new hobby. that way, u won't even touch the computer and, well, who knows?

maybe u have that hidden talent waiting to be found by you.

Ken E's six step plan to overcome computer addiction.

1. Unplug computer from mains

2. Obtain axe or hammer

3. Strike computer with axe or hammer. Hard

4. Repeat

5. Do not replace computer

6. Find girlfriend/boyfriend

go to computer rehab! jks...

Just try and limit yourself to 15-20 mins per day, instead go out more or do something artistic (like painting or sculpturing), volunteer for something maybe? Let's hope we can break your habit! gotta go, my 10 mins is almost up llol...

dear friend , as ur willing to break ur addiction ,u try urself getting

involved in other useful things like reading books or the best thing i can suggest u is to do meditation daily ,so that u can control ur senses.

Try to occupy yourself in different tasks; like, reading, writing a dairy- this helps a lot as you write all that has happened in your life and what are your plans, what do you like to have ; in this process you explore your self or write a Journal instead.
