i lie about everyyyyything, my first reaction is to lie instead of tell the truth
Answer:why don't you seek the help of a trained counsellor a psychologist or community social worker? There are techniques you can use such as stopping before you speak counting and evaluating what you are about to say. It can be an impulse control issue. Good luck

there would have to be a reason for you to lie in the first place.

Wow you sound like my ex g/f who is a pathological liar. She even claims to be a christian and goto church. I really hate her guts now. Her lying destroyed me inside, broke my heart. Do you want to hurt others like this because you will. You need to go see a therapist/counselor because you are sick in the head. You need to start respecting and loving yourself before you can even begin to be honest with everyone. You are lying all the time because you have a problem with your self esteem.
Make sure you see a doctor. A really good friend of mine has this problem. All of us around her know she is a really good girl with a kind heart, but there is some underlying problem that must cause this sort of thing.
