If you take an antidepressant like Paxil or Zoloft, what has been your experience

I tried Paxil and it helped my symptoms about 50 percent(not enough)

LOL

You're in charge of making the decisions regarding what works for you and what doesn't. Its important that you have a doctor that listens to you and takes your opinion into consideration. If you're not comfortable w/ this guy, then look for another doctor. Check out ratemds.com & see if any in your area have good ratings.

If you do go off the Paxil, you have to do it slowly. Paxil has a reputation for the worst withdrawal symptoms (as well as Effexor). So expect it to take several weeks to wean yourself off of it.

As far as Zoloft is concerned, I think its okay. I'm on 150 mg and I feel its helped somewhat. Anti-depressants work differently for everyone. Wellbutrin has been a godsend for me. I improved big time when I started taking Wellbutrin.
