If i said i was contemplating taking my own life, and your reply was 'dont take any notice of the answers here, just go and get proffesional help', and i did....would i be taking notice of the answers by going to get proffesional help......or would i NOT be taking notice of the answers by getting proffesional help ????

you would be taking the advice you'd been given on here.... well some of the advice. some people would probably tell you that jesus loves you and it would be a sin, someone would say go for it and give you the finger, some would tell you that you're a lovely person, some would give you the number of the samaritans, and as you say some would say ignore everyone on here, get professional help...

I'd say that you were actually attention seeking .. If you or anybody that was truly contemplating and i mean TRULY taking their own life then you wouldn't be on here or anywhere else asking this question !.. Sorry of i seem harse but i've known afew that have done this .

Well whatever you decide you did or did not do at least it has taken your mind off whatever problems you had that made you say you were contemplating taking your own life. If you are doing it as some stupid exercise then you definately need help. There are people out there who really need help and not just attention seekers.

I wouldn't care either way. I'm not here to tell you what to do. Advice can only be given, its up to you to take it. The question cancels itself out anyway. If you seek help, it really doesn't matter why as long as you make a decision.
