If you've always had a good relationship with your parents before this relationship then I would imagine that a marriage without their consent would make you life very difficult, imagine holidays with a strained atmosphere. However if you truly love this person and you would never be happy without them and your parents really don't want to know then you might have a better life in the long run with your parents not being involved. However you have to think about why you parents don't approve there must be a good strong reason. Best of luck though
