If I am 21 years old with Asperger Syndrome but having trouble lately with concentration problem. While having trouble, I couldn't find work in my local town.
Would it be proper for my parent to tell me that I owes rent to them?
I love to but all I got is a lower income class to poverty level type income.
:(
Answer:Wow! It's great to hear you are looking for work in your area. If you are having trouble with concentration you may want to ask your Dr or neurologist about getting a prescription for ADD. Your parents should not be asking you for rent if you are not working plus they should be helping you since you have a disablitity.
Also, if you just graduated their should be resources to help you find a job so you don't have to go it alone.
I think that your parents are wanting to help you learn responsibility. You can't rely on them forever and have you ever heard the saying, "mind over matter". I think if you believe in yourself hard enough you can achieve. I am HIV positive and I have hard days sometimes, but I keep on marching and I don't give it. Just believe in yourself! Good luck to you!
I don't think so. Families are supposed to stick together and be there for each other. good luck
