Ideas for a serious intervention. Please for greater detail come read my blog for today. . .

My brother is in an immense amoutn of trouble.

I'm searching for answers. . . as many ideas as I can get.

Answer:

Whatever you do. Don't send him to 12-steps. Ask him accept responsibility for choosing to be involved in drugs. Send him to the Stanton Peele website or www.orange-papers.org. To learn the truth about addiction. Also a court cannot coerce him into 12-step churches. This will really tick off the steppers, but his life is at stake and only personal responsibility will give him the strength he needs. My warning is sincere. I joined the steppers for a long time and bought all the bs. I have, like every single junkie and drunk chose to use, chose to quit and choose to abstain. Good luck. Check the papers mentioned above. I really, really wish you well, but he won't stop if he thinks he is on some stupid cycle of use-relapse-recovery-use-relap... ad infinitum.

What kind of trouble? Is it drugs and alcohol? If its drugs, try taking him to a N.A meeting. And A.A meetings are for alcoholics. It really works if you want to stop.Drugs and alcohol lead to a life of misery.You might even end up in jail or prison. Trust me I know, its not easy. anyways u need to go talk to ur brother and explain all that to him. also get him into rehab. most druggies dont get nice overnight, so he'll need professional help.

and next time, make ur blog entry short concise and simple - succint. its really crazy reading all that literary crap.
