I have been on Wellbutrin for almost 3yrs. Two days ago I had to start taking the generic. I haven't felt very good since I started taking the generic. Has anyone else had problems with the generic?
Answer:Although you may feel different, you actually may want to wait until your body gets adjusted to the change, to see weather or not there is a positive or negative reaction. Also talk to your psychiatrist about how you feel on the medication. Either way don't quit taking it at all, let your doctor be the one to take you off of it.
I've experienced both "name brand" & "generic" forms of the drug. I noticed no changes of any kind, either in how I felt or in my overall behavior. Don't worry you'll be fine.
No, I've been taking the generic for a couple of years with no problems. I hope you feel better soon. You should call your doc.
I can't tell any difference in the way I feel using the generic.
Yes, unless you have a private insurance or pots of money you can buy the actual "inventor" of Wellbutrin. But your doctor changed to the generic name because it is pharmaceutically the same but much, much cheaper.
They work the same way, don't worry.
Generics are made with the same ingredients as their more expensive counterpart. They just don't have a "label". It's like the difference between Tommy Hilfiger and Faded Glory (Wal-Mart brand).
Sometimes the fillers used in the generics can have an affect on the body. Get some samples of the name brand stuff from your doc and see if you go back to normal.
