Do you have NHS?
http://www.nhs.uk/
Contact them.
first confirm that u need help by checkin up on www.webmd.com . then go on and check up on psychiatrists...
your family doctor is a great start he/she can refer you to a mental health agency or unit. i don't know how it is in the UK, but in the USA, if you have health insurance you can call them and they can give you a name of psychiatrists to choose from. if you don't have insurance then you can just walk in to a community mental health agency - usually listed in the phone book. another place to look at is self assessment tools, like this one from webmd:

whatever happens, try not to panic. bipolar is treatable and has lost much of its stigma with a lot of media attention over the years.
good luck!
You should start by talking to your doctor, then he/she can tell you what to do next. Be sure to be open and honest with him/her!
Good luck!
you need to visit a gp first , who will refer you to a specialist if he thinks your case needs further investigation.
