I take antidepressants, and anti anxiety medicine I also take a lot of vitamins
Is it ok to take them at the same same time or should I be waiting a bit between taking them, and if so how long? thanks, and someone with some medicial background would be nice to hear from instead of the little kid who just want to say anything for points!!! Thank you guys again, and have a good day all!!!
Answer:waiting doesn't HURT because then your system isn't bombarded with things which could make you feel a little sick early in the morning if you don't have food in your stomach or whenever you take them. the problem with taking multiple things is remembering to take it later in the day. the best advice is ask your doctor, although it is kind of unreasonable to think someone would set up an appointment to ask this.. many doctors aren't reached over phone easily either. my suggestion is that you can take them togeter on a full stomach (if you are supposed to with your antidepressant) or if you must take the anti-depress on an empty stomach per the orders, then i woudl take the vitamin separate
Also doctors do too perscribe anti anxiety and anti depressive pills, some are the same exact pill all tied into one. i know because i have been there done that
i'm now off of all medication and use meditation and yoga to deal with my depression and anxiety
anti depressant should never be taken with an anti anxiety med, it will only try to counter act each other and may cause harmful effects. Let alone some unforeseen side effects.
Sorry, hon, but the only answer is three words: ask your doctor.
Please ask your doctor this question!
As a nurse, I must tell you to check with your psychiatrist before taking any supplements. I think a multivitamin is okay, but anything else, you shoul;d check with the doctor. He/she can check for interactions between your meds and your supplements. Even if you take them at different times there can still be interactions. Best to be safe. Take care.
Antidepressants and antianxiety drugs should not be prescribed for the same patient. The doctor was not a pyschiatrist who prescribed them I daresay. You are either depressed or anxious and should be treated accordingly.
many anti-depressants cause insomnia. so take them in the daytime, preferably morning. the anti-anxiety drugs cause sedation, so take them at night. you might land up increasing anti-depressants, leading to insomnia, then taking more anti-anxiety drugs to help you sleep.
