Answer:

could be depression. could be seasonal affective disorder. could be sleep apnea. could be a side effect of some meds you are taking. Could be a lot of things!! If you are sleeping that much, you need to talk to a doctor. up to 10 hours a night is normal, I believe I read someplace.

Well if you would stop taking Qualudes for breakfast, lunch and dinner that would be a good start now wouldn't it.
andrew?
Maybe you should try forcing yourself to wake up earlier (after 8 hours of sleep). Sleeping more actually makes you more tired as ironic as that sound. Once you get in the habit of waking up at a certain time, then your body gets used to it.

I am usually more tired and sleep more hours when I change locations so working out helps me to adjust.

you may have the sleeping beauty disease... but maybe not.. here is more information about it.

There can be multiple causes for excessive fatigue and hypersomnia, but you should see your doctor first to rule out medical causes before assuming it is psychiatric in nature. If no medical basis is found, possible causes are most likely to be depression and psychotherapy combined with medication often alleviates the symptoms. In stubborn or treatment-resistant depression where fatigue is prominent, Provigil can be added, however this is not a first line treatment and it is an off label use of the medication and most insurances will not pay for it.
it could be because when you over sleep it makes you even sleeper...set ur alarm clock to wake you up at a certain time...accustom ur self to wake up at desired time so after a while you wont be sleeping as much as you do now
Wow, that's a lot of sleep. I find that I sleep a lot when I'm blue, or too stressed or worried to deal. When your waking life is hard, sleep is a refuge.
oh i read something about this the other day, i forgot what its called. (something like the sleeping sickness, but not quite) Do you sleep this much every day for weeks or just every day sometimes? The article said it goes away usually at the age of 30... http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/def... u might wanna search these....
