i cut myself really bad last night to the point where i severed a nerve and a vein lost alot of blood, who should i talk to, friends family god i dont know who?

Answer:

Well I know you don't want to hear this, but the way you described your cut it sounds like you need to see a doctor FAST. Severed nerves and veins are serious, and can cause permanent damage. Does the area around your cut feel numb? If so, please get help for that first and foremost. If it's really bad, you could lose the feeling in (wherever you cut) or even control of that area.

I went to the hospital once for a very deep cut I inflicted on myself, and I just told the nurse the truth (I had to because the cut was surrounded by so many others). She brought a psychiatrist in who asked me questions, and I was still honest (because I think I really wanted help then), and they sent me to a psychiatric hospital for about a week.

I know that might sound really scary, but from there you could maybe get counseling, medication, the help you need. Before I left that hospital they gave me prescriptions for a generic form of Prozac and something that takes away the endorphin rush you get from cutting.

So, basically what I'm saying...is that help is just down the street. It's not fun help, and it's a bit frightening, but I'm really glad I decided to go to the hospital when I did.

Talk to someone you trust completely and when ever you feel like cutting yourself go do something to distract you or call a friend.
oh dear that is awful! God hurts when you do. You must do some spiritual learning, read your bible and you will find great comfort there. You also need to look in your area for a support group. I f you feel ashamed a cannot talk with a family member then please get into church. You will not be judged ther only loved and helped. I will pray for you! You also must realize that you may have a slight chemical imbalance in your brain that makes you want to hurt yourself do not be afraid to take medicine if it is prescribed for you. Just dont let people say you are crazy or such you are not! You do need help and i hope you can find it soon before yu damage yourself bad.
wow, its crazy hearing that from other people...but anyhow i think you need to talk to god first of all, if you believe in god you should know that if you kill yourself you're going to hell...another thing is that your life is the most beautiful thing that god has given you, i know times may be hard but its not worth taking your life away, think about it other people are having worser problems then you right now and are strong and i know you can be strong too, jus believe in yourself and look for positive people in your life...only then can you be sorrounded by good people that can give you good advice..talk to your loved one like your mom or your dad depending on wich one you feel most comfortable with, honestly not to sound mean or anything, if you kill yourself its not going to change a thing, yeah people will cry and mourn over your death but then 6 months later its back to normal again, and then what was the whole purpose of you killing yourself...be strong and pray to god, he always listens as much as you think he dont...but he works with you if you open your heart out to him, talk to him and ask him for strength, and leave all your problems in his hands..he will take them away for you....but only if you seek him with an open heart...this is coming from someone who doesnt go to church but has faith in god and believe in him, and he has helped me a whole bunch when i was doing the exact same thing that your doing to yourself now...ok....god bless you and take care of yourself...and if you ever need someone to talk to just look for me in here im dat_sweetmami....hope i helped in anyway..
I think that you should see a doctor to check on your injuries. I think you should also pray for guidance. God has gotten me through a lot of dark times in my life, and I know that he has given me the strength and hope to get me to the point where I am today (which is completely happy and totally depression-free). Also, you should seek therapy and tell a close friend or a few close friends. Your therapist will monitor your progress and work on the psychological aspects to self-harm, but it's also important for your friends to know so that they can support you and watch out for you in stressful times.
