I need help i am addicted to gambling and i have totally screwed myself
i know iknow just quit but my whole check is gone and my bills are due i have really hit rock bottom and i am lost. i think this is the scariest place to be cause there are only so many ways out and i am just so far gone i don't have the energy to fight any morei know my addiction makes me selfish and i really do not want to be i just don't know where to go any more
Answer:We are a society of addicts of some kind, whether it is tobacco, alcohol, drugs, shopping, bigger-better homes, new cars every year, credit cards, food, sex, wanting money, day trading, cosmetic surguries, and on and on and on. The only way one can really cure themselves is to just decide "THIS IS NOT WHAT I WANT ANYMORE" and go from there. You can seek professional help but if the disire is not there to quit, it will be of no benefit to you. I, too, like to gamble but find that I can talk myself out of it if I keep telling myself no no no no no. After enough no's, I have no desire to go. Good luck to you! Talk to someone that you trust, have a good cry, and make up your mind that there is more to life than throwing your money away. It will amaze you how easy it is to catch up if you set your mind to it. Gambling is a no win situation! If people could really win and keep it, there would be no casinos, lotteries, race tracks.
look for gambling annon in your area if you can not find one go to narcotics anon or aa as a first start they can help network for you maybe. Gambling is addiction and you need to cure the addiction
