I have been suicidal for a while now and I've got 12 Vicodin sitting on a chair across the room. I just dont know what to do. i'm careless. i made a promise to my therapist that i will be alive tommorow. Help me. what would happen if i took just one?

Don't do what you're thinking... you are too important, and besides, if you really wanted to you already would have. 12 vicodin will make you sick, it will not kill you. Seek help, you are not alone in this, life can and will get better.
If the Vicodin are not yours then put them back where you got them from or give them back to whoever they belong to. Vicodin is a pain med so nothing bad will happen if you take just one. Since you have no clue what would happen if you took one that tells me they are not your pills. Put the pills back where you found them then find a friend to chat with. There are are people online who will talk with you if you don't have any close friends.
Breath deep many times...when you feel relaxed, throw the vicodin into the trash. Then take a shower. Then talk to a friend and if you do not find anyone, connect to ByeDR.com and talk to us again.
The biggest worry that I have is that the one Vicodin would reduce your willpower - leading you to do other things. You made a promise to your therapist - is your word good. If you are going to work with your care giver then you have to give them a chance to help you. Part of that is making your word good. No one but you can control your behavior. I believe that you are strong enough to keep your promise. Good luck

i personally think you should go and see a doctor, suicide is a symptom from someone who is depressed to someone who has schitzophrenia...unless someone has upset you and made you feel like this, if so, dont leave no one bring you down. just relax a lil bit
Please listen to me. You will have a better life coming to you. Don't worry. Think about your family thats what is really important. My brother hung himself at the age of fifteen. His birthday was on the 16th. He would be 25 now. He never got the chance to drive, love, relationships, you don't want to end it like this. There is so much in this world for you to look foward to. Please don't do it. I'm speaking to you from expierence. I know how all the events turn out. You would be surprised at all the people who would be effected by you not beeing here. Look at it as a game. Its mind over emotion. Your wiring is all messed up "this hurts too much" "I can't take any more of this" and "There is nothing I want to live for" "I am miserable" "Make it stop" But your thinking mind knows its not true its just messed up. We will all be dead in the long run. No reason to hurry it. There will be something to live for around the next curve in the road. You are strong enough to endure. You are smart enough to endure. You just have to decide to do it.
