Answer:

You should take her/him to get help. If you really care abuot the person, help them out.

Talk with her,if she/he wont go anywhere..ask her why...how do u kno that...

explain stuff w/ her/him

but the best way is to take her somewhere to get her checked out and helped.

I hope everything turns out for the best.

If its been going on for some time and has no signs of improvements then tell them to go to their doctor and ask for a mild course of antidepressants. They do work.

This person needs support.

Ideas? There is nothing you can do except suggest they get help. Therapy/counseling. If they refuse, then there is nothing else you can do. If it's a friend, family member, you need to distance yourself from him/her. If they won't get help, they WILL bring you down. If it's a spouse, that's harder. Then you should get some help in dealing with that person.
Take him to a Contemporary Art Gallery or take him to a comedy movie believe me he'll enjoy himself
If the peson is med resistant or the meds just don't work there is a new treatment called Trans Cranial Magnetic stimulation. You need a psychiatrist to refer the person a GP does not have the qulifications. It has to be a pshychiatrist or pshychologist to refer the person o if the person has the money he/she can "buy" the treatment. What it is is a wand and srong magnets that they hold over the clients head and the magnets help

try to get them to open up to u. some people just need to talk and let everything out. me personally i write everything down. i dont like sharing my feelings unless im very hurt by a situation. So if the person wont talk to u or seek medical attn try buying them a journal. (works for me) then when i reflect bk on what i wrote i cant believe how stupid everything was and feel alot better.
get him professional help. you can't do it on your own.
Take your friend to a doctor. Medication is the best answer.
If you are in GB then get your friend to call the Samaritans. It is a free 24hr service where people will listen to people, especially depressed people and try to help them. It is 100% confidential. It is possible to e-mail them even. jo@samaritans.org.uk Not sure about the uk bit, but get your friend to try it or look it up on the computer. The phone No is 08457909090. if not in GB, just put 44 before it.

Hope you can get some help for your friend. All you can do is just be there, and that's a lot.

Your friend can always e-mail me if he/she likes.
