Answer:

I don't know if it would help you or not to see one. I would however discuss your problem with your family doctor. Maybe you could have a sleep panel done on you. It will determine your sleep patterns, whether or not you have sleep apnea and other conditions. Do you sleep well once you are asleep??


Have you tried reading a good book?
Try a Hippy instead.
I don't think it would do you any harm it may help with sleep and teach you relaxation which then should help you sleep, you have nothing to loose Good luck I hope it works

You are probably just thinking too much before you are going to bed. I used to have a horrible time trying to fall asleep, but it was because I was so excited about my next day at school or work. I would think about what I was going to wear, what I was going to do for the day, week, and month! Sometimes I would lay there thinking for like 3 hours! Also, you should not hang out in your bedroom, this makes your subconscious think that when you are in your room you are having fun and hanging out. You should only stay in your bedroom when you are ready to go to sleep, and stop thinking before you go to sleep! Also, don't resort to drugs or medicating yourself if you don't need to, this could develop worse problems/habbits than you already have!
