I have crying bouts that I cant controll Am I going crazy
This has been going on for over a year. At first I thought it was the product of a failing marriage. But now things are going well with my husband (counseling helped) and the crying doesn't seem to stop. Last night we were out with friends having a great time when something minor that he did upset me and I went right off the deep end. I lost it and started crying at the event we were at. The crying started all over again this morning. I feel like I can't control it. It takes me hours to calm down from it. I am on Lexapro 10mg and have been for 4 months. Prior to that I was on Prozac. I would love to be my old self again. Any suggestions?
Answer:You're difinitley not, crazy, I went through a stage a year ago where anything would set me off to crying. Do you see a psychiatrist for your medicine? Talk to him about increasing the medication, or adding another medicine. It sounds to me like you have anxiety and depression, but only a psychiatrist can really diagnose your problem. Also try yoga and meditation to help you relax. You could also try adding new exercise like running, it releases chemicals that make you happy!
Take this as a 'down' time for yourself, give yourself time to reflect. What is it that you are trying to tell yourself?!? Is there something larger going on here? Find things that are enjoyable to you, something like walking where you could do a little soul searching and Enjoy the journey!
