I have a problem sleepinghelp

Every night I wake up screaming, thinking that there is someone in the house. I live in a very safe neighborhood where there have been no problems of any sorts. I scream until my mom comes and gets me. Then I sleep in her bed. or on a sleeping bag. What is wrong with me? How can I fix this? I am 15...this is not normal. Please help me!

Childhood fears. We all have had them. You are not odd for having this one. When I was your age I had to sleep with a light on because I thought someone was in the house every night.

What you can do is walk around the house and check the doors and the windows before you go to bed. Then try doing some self talk where you tell yoursel rationally that you are safe. Sleep with a light on, your door open and ask your mom to keep her door open. This fear will eventually go away. What your problem is that you feel fear and you feel vunerable and that scares you. But you will be ok. It went away for me and it will for you too. Don't forget to do the positive self talk where you tell yourself that you have checked everything and that you are safe.


umm... probably your not use to sleeping by your self i quick doing that when i was 10 SO..... idk about u but it is freaky

sometimes hearing noise in the house when your sleeping...

but you should just think of happy things or count in your head or get a teddy bear and huge it when your scared... or have a night light ... ( hope this helped you a little )
