Ever since I was real little ive been afraid of swallowing things, even little things. It takes me a good hour or more to just eat breakfast. I don't know why I have this problem, but I do. When I was younger the doctor said I was anorexic because I never eat, but I was scared to like swallow food. Sometimes I get real nervous and shakey when im eating, It's really weird. Im 16, and i don't even know how to swallow pills. I think it's called Anginophobia, But how can I get over it!

I have the exact same fear and I was just thinking of asking that question. My fear is of strangling on drinks. I get choked that way easily.

It's a phobia, and you probably need professional help to get over it. Luckily, psychology is having good success these days treating phobias.

You may need to go to a different doctor. The one you went to doesn't sound all that professional if he said you were anorexic. Anorexia is not a fear of swallowing food. It doesn't sound like he was taking you that seriously. I would seek a new doctor and see what they say.

don't worry i cant take pills because my tongue keeps gettin in the damn way.

Try eating your food very quickly.

or drink water quickly.

just swallow quickliierness.
