I was really exhausted and couldn't get out of bed so I just tried going back to sleep but kept getting wakened up by this voice that was sort of moaning. It was a bit frightening. If I was a hedonist it probably would have got me excited.

Answer:

It sounds like you're having hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations. This is when you hear, see, feel or smell imaginary things when you're falling asleep or immediately upon awakening. They are completely normal. It's just false perceptions that occur when you're in the transition phase between sleep and wakefulness. Unless you have persistent hallucinations when you're fully awake then don't worry about it.

Yell that your trying to sleep and roll over.

Did you ask the voice what he wanted or what was wrong? You should have acknowledged the voice and it may have stopped.

Do you live in an apartment? Could have been neighbors enjoying each other or someone who was ill. Also, there is always the supernatural aspect... see if it happens again, and if it does, try recording it the next night with a tape recorder.

well what you were hearing could of been yourself moaning in a dream, or what ever was happenig in your sleep, i know i will wake up and be talking , and then fall right back to sleep, so i really would not be too worried about it, but if you are go and see a doctor and tell them about it.

you can always have the house blessed and cleaned by a man of the cloth. In the name of Jesus Christ, you can do it yourself if you are a believer, or you can get a man of the cloth to do it. I know a few that have had that done to their homes, cause they say that people can sometimes carry in a spirit with that, that could be a bad one. Just though i would add this.
