Sharing room with bro

You have lots of changes going on in your life right now; don't you? I know sometimes change is hard, but you're doing the right thing by asking these questions.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. But, your Mom sounds like she's making some good changes to help your family make ends meet.

It's pretty normal for brothers to see each other naked. It's not a big deal. I used to share a bedroom with my older brother, too. What I would do was...I'd wait until he was asleep. I could tell by his breathing, because it would become slow & steady. Then I'd do my thing, making sure I was quiet about it.

About your brother sortof becoming your Dad; only you & he can make that decision. You can talk to him about it & ask him if he's comfortable with doing that.

Another thing (something I did) is...find an Uncle who is nice, & start to get to know him better. I also started hanging out with a guy a few years older than me in my neighborhood, & he helped me through a lot. I became pretty close to him. I also got closer to some of my guy friends at school.

One thing you didn't ask, that maybe you should think about, is...how can you help your Mom to make sure everything gets done?

You can make sure your room is picked up, & also pick up after everyone at the dinner table. Start taking the garbage out. Look for things you see your mom doing around the house, & you begin doing them, too, to help her out.
