Ran out of supplements eg creatine whey protien
i am 17 i spent 95 dollars at GNC 50 for xyience, 20 for tablets and another 20 for optimum whey 100 percent protien. i been taking it everyday and lifting everyday i see results. this is my builking phase i'm 5'5 165 pounds. it's been a month now and i completley ran out of supply. xyience lasted less than 3-4 weeks and whey protien i use twice a day it ran out fast to in about the same time. however i still have my multivitaman tablets. right now i don't have money maby 30 dollars. my brother says if i stop taking creatine my muscle will go down. what should i do? go on a cutting phase or just still work out w/o any supplments? i don't want to lose my muscle.
Answer:The truth is you need to cycle on and off. You can not continue to take supplements and have them work the same. Your body will eventually get used to them and you will not get any results from taking them.
My suggestion is to continue to work out as you would normally. Lay off the supplements for about 6-8 weeks then get back on them again for about 6-8weeks. You will lose strength and a little muscle but when you get back on the cycle you will gain double the muscle you would have if you continued all the way through.
If I were you I would stay away from that stuff. I is garbage and not good for you. Just stick to a high protein diet (chicken, fish, etc.) At your age you have a lot of growing to do. When I was 17 I was 6'1 and 150 pounds. But when I turned twenty my metabolism slowed down and I put an tons of weight and hit 200 pounds by age 22. I am now 30 and 220 - not fat. I got this way by focusing on health, not bulk. It'll happen naturally. Trust me, women don't like muscle freaks. Focus on the long term, not quick fixes.
